Halifax PLAYS Drop-in Basketball
HP Basketball is a program rooted in community and pro-social values. We prioritize people, recreation, and inclusion, over competition and winning.
- Note: This doesn’t mean we don’t also love to play hard! We simply expect a standard of mutual respect for all players. Check out our Gameplay Guide to learn more.
Below you will find info about our current offerings
All of our basketball programs are currently managed on the Bloxo platform where players can pay and sign up in advance. Because spots can fill up fast players are encouraged to create a profile to join sessions. We recommend downloading the app available on Android and iOS, or otherwise using their website bloxo.co.

Tuesday Drop-In: ON PAUSE TILL FURTHER NOTICE
- Location: Community YMCA @ 2269 Gottingen St, Halifax, NS B3K 3B7
- Time: Tuesday evenings 7:15pm-9pm, TBD
- Format: Weekly intermediate paced adult (19+) drop-in, Full-court 5v5. Teams change on a weekly basis based on sign-ups. All genders and skill levels are encouraged to join.
- Cost: $9 per session

Sunday Drop-In: OPEN— Starting Sept 24th till Dec 17th, 2023
- Location: Sacred Heart School @ 5820 Spring Garden Road, Halifax, B3H 1X8
- Time: Sunday afternoons 2pm-4pm
- Format: Weekly intermediate paced adult (19+) drop-in, Full-court 5v5. Teams change on a weekly basis based on signups. All genders and skill levels are encouraged to join.
- Cost: ~$10 per session

If cost is ever a barrier, don’t hesitate to reach out by email and we can try to work something out. Making our program accessible is important for us! There is no charge for just registering to the Bloxo group!
